Banaras Hindu University online courses through SWAYAM aim to expand digital learning with a diverse range of credit and non-credit courses for the academic session 2025.

BHU Online SWAYAM Courses

Banaras Hindu University (BHU) will begin 63 online courses from the academic session 2025 soon. The BHU online courses will be in association with SWAYAM and will be initiated through the SWAYAM portal. The courses will be from several disciplines and will contain both credit and non-credit options. The programmes aim to cater to the increasing demand and also to offer flexibility in higher education to students.

This initiative complies with the objectives of the National Education Policy 2020, which seeks to address learning gaps and foster lifelong learning throughout student and professional communities. BHU's contributions encompass teacher education, Indian knowledge systems, environmental sciences, and core science and humanities disciplines.

Several of these programs will be administered by BHU faculty members who have been designated as national coordinators and subject matter experts under the SWAYAM structure. Students will have access to high-quality video lectures, reading materials, discussion forums, and periodic tests, with certificates issued upon successful completion.

The institution urged students across India to take these courses in addition to their formal education while strengthening their employability chances. Course registration is expected to commence soon via the official SWAYAM portal. Students have to visit the SWAYAM portal and get themselves registered. However, the link to apply for BHU SWAYAM online courses will also be made available at the BHU official website for all interested and eligible students.
