50 seats each in JEE, NEET, CLAT, CA Foundation; 1,000 seats in CUET-UG with girl-student reservations
Under Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya Vidya Shakti scheme, Delhi Government has begun free coaching for 2,200 promising government-school students preparing for JEE, NEET, CLAT, CA Foundation and CUET-UG. Coaching will be delivered after school hours and on weekends by coaching institutes like Aakash Institute, Narayana Academy, KD Campus and Ravindra Institute.
Seat allocation assigns 50 students each for JEE, NEET, CLAT and CA Foundation, while CUET-UG seats number 1,000. Each course reserves places for girls, 50 in each professional exam batch, and 150 in CUET-UG. More than 62,000 students appeared in the selection test held in October and, after counselling and verification, selected students began physical classes in late November.
Education Minister Ashish Sood said, “These students are not just preparing for exams; they are preparing to transform their lives. With this mission, we are not only offering educational resources but also building the courage, confidence, and emotional strength to dream bigger.” He added, “No child in Delhi should ever feel unseen, unheard or unsupported. Education is not just about marks; it is about mental wellness, dignity and humanity.”
Sood recalled a visit to a government school in Lajpat Nagar and said school-bags handed out during that visit “were not just for books; they carried dreams.” He described Vidya Shakti Mission as “a movement to empower talent, protect mental wellness, bridge societal gaps and unlock Delhi’s academic potential at the grassroots.”
According to Directorate of Education, coaching and support systems, including counselling, teacher sensitisation and peer support, are being strengthened so students preparing for national exams like JEE, NEET, CLAT, CA Foundation and CUET-UG remain emotionally supported while studying. Upgrades such as AI-enabled classrooms and digital learning tools are underway in many government schools.
