Prof. Raj Kishore Sharma, the Chief Election Officer appointed for DUSU elections 2025-26, said that this time there were nine candidates in the fray for the post of President, three for the post of Vice President, four for the post of Secretary and five for the post of Joint Secretary.
Vote counting for the Delhi University Students' Union (DUSU) Election 2025-26 concluded peacefully and as per the final results announced by the conducting body, Aryan Mann was elected for the post of President with 28,841 votes out of 59,882.
For the year 2025-26, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), student wing of Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) has won three out of four posts, which include President, Secretary and Joint Secretary posts. The youth wing of Indian National Congress (INC), National Students Union of India (NSUI) has won Vice President post.
As per official polling numbers shared by the DU administration, for the post of Vice-President, Rahul Jhansla won with 29,339 votes out of 59,869, while Govind Tanwar came in second with 20,547. For the post of Secretary, Kunal Chaudhary won with 23,779 votes out of 59,863, while Kabir came in second with 16,117 votes. Out of the total 59,919 votes cast for the post of Joint Secretary, Deepika Jha elected by securing 21825 votes while Lavkush Bhadana came second by securing 17380 votes.

Giving details, he said that out of the total 59,882 votes were received for the post of President, Anjali got 5385 votes, Anuj Kumar got 1028 votes, Aryan Maan got 28841 votes, Divyanshu Singh Yadav got 1513 votes, Joslyn Nandita Chaudhary got 12645 votes, Rahul Kumar got 724 votes, Umanshi got 5522 votes, Yogesh Meena got 514 votes and Abhishek Kumar got 535 votes.
He said that as many as 3175 students chose NOTA.
Giving a detailed account of the total 59, 869 votes received for the post of vice-president, Prof Sharma said that Govind Tanwar got a total of 20547 votes, Rahul Jhansla got 29339 votes and Sohan Kumar got 4163 votes. 5820 votes were given to NOTA.
A total of 59863 votes were received for the post of secretary, out of which Abhinandana Pratyashi got 9535 votes, Kabir got 16117 votes, Kunal Chaudhary got 23779 votes and Mohit got a total of 3067 votes. 7365 students voted for NOTA for the post of secretary.
A total of 59919 votes were cast for the post of Joint Secretary, out of which Abhishek Kumar got a total of 8425, Akshita got 3397, Amelia Ann Varghese got 1578, Deepika Jha got 21825 and Lavkush Bhadana got 17380 and NOTA got 7314 votes.
