IGNOU NIRF Ranking 2025: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has secured the rank 1 in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2025's open universities category. The university has secured the rank 1 in the NIRF 2025 open university category second time in a row. The IGNOU NIRF ranking 2025 highlights the university's progress over the year to offer open and distance learning education across the country.

Prof. Uma Kanjilal, Vice-Chancellor, IGNOU, shared her insight regarding the IGNOU NIRF ranking, saying, "This milestone has been made possible by the dedicated efforts of our faculty, academic, and non-academic staff. At IGNOU, our mission remains clear — to provide affordable, quality education to everyone, everywhere. Going forward, we will strengthen our focus on leveraging digital and technological tools to ensure ease of accessibility, even in the remotest parts of the country. We will continue to expand the use of vernacular languages, multimedia, video-based resources, and blended learning approaches so that education reaches learners in the most inclusive and learner-friendly manner.”

The university has extended the July session fresh admission last date for session 2025, along with the re-registration last date till September 15, 2025. Students who are seeking IGNOU admission 2025 can apply for admission at ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in. Meanwhile, the IGNOU re-registration link 2025 is activated at onlinerr.ignou.ac.in.
