Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore has announced application process for its Post Doctoral Fellowships (IPDF) inviting individuals with a proven track record.Β Application process which began on July 12, 2025 is aligned with government’s recent $1.2 billion investment in research and development, announced last month.

This fellowship program has wide range of disciplines including Biological Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Physical & Mathematical Sciences, Electrical, Electronics, and Computer Sciences, as well as Interdisciplinary Sciences. Eligible candidates must have a good academic record and a PhD, with those yet to submit their thesis also encouraged to apply by providing relevant proof.

Candidate need to be under 32 years at time of application to be eligible, though extensions may be considered after evaluation. Overseas Citizens of India (OCI), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO), and foreign nationals are also eligible to apply.

Applications will be reviewed quarterly, on 31st of March, June, September and December offering flexibility to prospective fellows.Β
