
The last date to accept the admission offer and pay the seat acceptance fee for the first IIT JAM 2021 first admission list released on June 15 is today, i.e. June 21. Know the detailed process to accept the seat allotment here.
What After Receiving IIT JAM Admission Offer
After receiving the admission offer, there are three options that candidates have select. The options and other steps are as follows:
Accept and Freeze: Upon choosing this option, candidates accept the admission offer made to them. Selecting this option will also infer that they would not opt for an upgrade of seats. Hence, they would not be eligible to participate in the next rounds of admission.
Accept with Upgrade: This option means that while candidates accept the allotted seat, they would like to upgrade to higher preferences in the subsequent rounds, if conducted, based on the number of vacant seats.
Reject and Quit: This option refers that candidates neither accept the allotted seat, nor are interested in participating in the further rounds of admission. Upon choosing this option, candidates will receive an One Time Password (OTP) on their registered mobile number and email to confirm this step.
IIT JAM 2021 Admission Acceptance Fees
On selecting the first two options, candidates will have to pay the fee amount as per their category, given in the table below.

The admission fee has to be paid in online mode, through Credit/Debit Card or Netbanking modes. Challan payment will not be accepted.
The second admission list will be released on July 1.
IIT JAM is conducted to provide admission to candidates in MSc and other postgraduate courses offered at IITs and integrated PhD courses offered by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore. Several National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs) also accept JAM scores for MSc admissions.
