Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has released the third merit list for admission to its postgraduate programmes for the academic year 2025-26.

Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has released third merit list for admission to its postgraduate programmes for academic year 2025-26. Candidates who have been allotted seats in this round are required to complete admission process by today as it is last date for seat confirmation under third list.

Applicants can access merit list and confirm their admission status through official website of university, jnuee.jnu.ac.in or jnu.ac.in. To secure their admission selected candidates need to pay seat acceptance fee and upload documents. 

Admission process at JNU for postgraduate courses, including MA, MSc, MCA and other PG programmes, is being conducted through Common University Entrance Test Postgraduate (CUET PG) 2025. The university had previously released the first and second merit lists on July 1 and July 10, respectively. With third list now out, candidates who were earlier waitlisted have another opportunity to gain admission.

As per official schedule, physical verification of documents and registration for candidates selected in the third round will be held from July 22 to July 30, 2025, at the respective centres in JNU. Candidates must ensure all original documents are in order for verification, failing which their candidature may be cancelled.

With a score of 70 in JNUEE exam, students can easily get admission to any of the UG and PG course available at JNU. The JNU UG cutoff 2024 ranged between 55.33 and 69.78 for the General AI category candidates. Under which, the courses with the highest cutoff and lowest cutoff were BA (Hons) in French and BA(Hons) in Pashto, respectively.

Q:   How can I get admission to JNU in BSc?
A: 

For JNU BSc admission, candidates need to apply online for CUET. JNU BSc admission is completely entrance-based and depends upon candidates' performance in the CUET-UG entrance exam. Additionally, before filling out the application, aspirants must check out the eligibility criteria for this UG course. Based on the entrance exam score, the seats are allotted to the selected candidates through counselling. The seat is confirmed after the document verification.

JNU is likely to issue more merit lists depending on availability of seats after third round. Therefore, applicants who have not yet been allotted a seat are advised to keep monitoring admission portal regularly.
