NEST 2021 Application Process Extended Till July 15; Exam Postponed Until Further Notice

NEST 2021 Application Deadline and Exam Postponed

The application process for NEST 2021 has been extended to July 15. The process was scheduled to conclude on May 20. The exam conducting authorities,  National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER), Bhubaneswar and Mumbai University - Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CEBS), Mumbai have also postponed the date of the exam until further notice. This has also led to the postponement of other important events such as the release of the NEST 2021 admit card and result.

Announcing this on the NEST 2021 website, the officials stated, “After reviewing the status of the COVID-19 pandemic and related uncertainties it has been decided to postpone NEST 2021. A new date will be announced with sufficient advance notice. Candidates can continue to apply online till 15th July 2021.”

NEST 2021 Revised Dates

The following table brings the revised dates of NEST 2021.

It is expected that the exam will be held in the month of August, depending on the pandemic situation at that time. At present, it is difficult to predict the situation and announce a date due to the unpredictability of the situation.

NEST 2021 will be conducted in a computer-based mode in two slots for a duration of 3.5 hours in 92 cities across India.
