After the first round of NCRIE counselling, out of 55 seats, 32 seats were filled from the First Counselling on September 24. The provisional list for remaining students has been released by NERIE NCERT, Shillong, for the BEd program on the official website. The counselling will be conducted on September 29 at NERIE NCERT.

The candidates are required to appear in person before the Admission Committee of this Institute on 29/09/2025 at 9:30 a.m. You will be required to produce the Original Certificate/Documents listed as (a) to (r) under column 9 below for verification with one set of their Xerox copies.

Documents Required for NERIE NCERT, Shillong, Counselling

  • CEE Score Card/Result Card
  • Original School/College/Department Leaving Certificate/Transfer certificate
  • Original Conduct Certificate from the Head of the Institution last studied
  • Original Mark sheets - High School onwards
  • Original Certificate/Diploma/Degrees - High School onwards (Provisional Certificate must be produced in case original is not available)
  • Original Caste/ Certificate from the authorities empowered to issue such a certificate (i.e. Magistrate/Deputy Commissioner or any other Revenue Officer) in case of SC/ST/OBC/PH/EWS candidates. With respect to the OBC certificate, it should clearly mention in the certificate that the candidate does not come under the Creamy Layer
  • Certificate of total yearly income of the family for the year 2025-2026 h) Permanent Residential Certificate
  • Three passport-size photographs of the candidate. Income & Asset Certificate to be produced by the Economically Weaker Section Candidates
  • An affidavit from the Hon'ble court/notary public that the documents, certificates, marksheets etc. submitted by you are genuine.
  • Undertakings of the candidate himself as well as his/her father/mother separately on Non-Judicial Stamp Paper of Rs. 20/- in connection with anti-ragging in the prescribed form enclosed/uploaded on the website of the Institute.
  • Original certificate for a Physically Handicapped candidate issued by the competent authority not below the rank of Chief District Medical Officer is acceptable
  • Migration Certificate - students coming from Universities other than NEHU, Shillong, should produce the Migration certificate within one month from the date of their admission
  • Relieving order in case the candidate is employed p) Medical fitness certificate from a Government Medical Practitioner not below the rank of the Assistant Surgeon
  • One set of photocopies of marksheets/certificates from High School onwards, including Caste/Category Certificate
  • If the candidate is willing to stay in the Institute's hostel, he/she should bring two passport-size photographs of his/her father/mother. Please acknowledge the receipt of this letter through email at nerie.ncert1@gmail.com

Important Instructions for Candidates

  • The candidates who have secured at least the minimum eligibility marks in the qualifying examination will be considered for admission. The University/Institute where the candidate has passed his/her qualifying examination should have been recognised by the UGC
  • If you do not turn up for admission on the above date and time, your provisional selection for admission to the above courses will stand cancelled. No request for extension or change in date will be entertained
  • Please bring the Medical Fitness Certificate issued by the Government. Medical Officer/Authorised Medical Attendant in the proforma enclosed/uploaded on the website of the Institute
  • If you are finally admitted to the above course, you will have to deposit the following amount immediately on the same day towards the Institute and hostel fee:
Hosteller Rs. 29,150/-
Non-Hosteller Rs. 13,350/-
  • Your admission will be liable to be cancelled if any of the documents produced by you for verification is found forged/fake at any later stage or any of the information furnished by you in your application form is found false.
  • Candidates found eligible for the grant of scholarship by the Institute will have to stay in the hostel of the Institute compulsorily. They will be provided with hostel accommodation on a priority basis.

Note

  • The Scheme Of NCERT Scholarship is Enclosed
  • Classes will begin on October 6, 2025, and the admitted candidates have to attend the classes subsequently.
Q: Β  What if I miss my counselling date?
A:

It is not advised for any candidate to miss the counselling date. It can result in losing the seat as well as the admission. You can confirm with the respective RIE if you can attend the next round of counselling or any other available solution.

Q: Β  When is NERIST application forms out?
A:

NERIST NEE 2025 Application Form: The North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST) will release the NERIST NEE 2025 application form. The application process for NEE-I, NEE-II and NEE-III will start together and candidates can apply for NEE as per their choice of course. The NEE-II exam is held for admission in BTech and BSc (Hons) in Forestry. Whereas, NEE-I is held for admission in certificate courses and the NEE-III is held for BTech LE admissions.

The entire process of filling online application form can be completed in below mentioned 9 steps. The steps include registration, activation, programme selection, filling details in the form, uploading scanned images, filling in academic details, selecting the NEE exam centre, and reviewing the form and fee payment.
