Telangana Government has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) With King's College London. The MoU was signed in presence of Minister for Industries and Commerce KT Rao in connection to the Pharma University at Hyderabad Pharma City. The MoU was signed as a part of the state delegation's visit to the UK led by the Minister.
The MoU sets out a joint intention between the college and the Telangana government o explore the development of higher educational provision within the Telangana Pharma City. The MoU will involve several collaborative research projects, staff and student exchanges, as well as curriculum development and upskilling.
The partnership between the London college and the state government will help to support the vision for pharma city, of which the creation of a life sciences higher education provision forms a key element of this vision, drawing together innovation, research and development and excellence. KTR's visit to the country follows an engaging trip to India by King's college delegates.
"Spread across 19,000 acres, Hyderabad Pharma City will be one of the world's largest pharma clusters and the establishment of a Life Sciences and Pharma University is an integral part of the Pharma City vision. Government of Telangana and British Council are longstanding partners in driving internationalisation of higher education on the state," the Minister said.
Telangana Minister KT Rama Rao on May 19 held a series of meetings with the top leadership of various companies in London. In a round table meeting organised by the UK India Business Council and the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT), KTR interacted with automobile industry leaders and pitched the state as an investment destination.
