UP Schools Closed amid Cold Weather: Uttar Pradesh government has announced the closure of schools in various districts due to cold weather. Pertaining to dense fog and cold, UP Schools in Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Sitapur and other regions will remain closed on various dates in January. As per the IMD weather updates, Dense fog and severe cold will continue in UP for the next 5 days.

Uttar Pradesh schools closed in Varanasi until January 4

Schools will remain shut till January 4 up to Class 8 in Uttar Pradesh’s Varanasi. As per the local media report, District Magistrate on Sunday instructed the schools to remain closed as the temperature dips.

Uttar Pradesh: Gorakhpur schools closed on January 2 and 3

According to order issued by Gorakhpur District Magistrate on January 1, schools will remain closed for students of LKG to Class 8 on January 2 and 3.

"Gorakhpur District Magistrate directs to close all government and recognized schools from LKG to class 8 for two days on January 2 and 3 in view of the severe cold in the district. Strict action will be taken against schools that do not follow this,” a tweet from ANI states.

Sitapur schools are closed until January 4

Meanwhile, Schools in Sitapur, UP, will also remain shut for classes 1 to 12 until January 4 as per the orders released by the District Magistrate.
