Coronavirus: UPSC defers personality tests for various posts

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has deferred the interview schedule till further intimation for a number of posts.  The interviews were previously scheduled from March 23, 2020 to April 16, 2020. The UPSC has deferred the Personality Tests (interviews) for all the candidates who gave the Civil Services Examination in 2019 in the wake of the deadly coronavirus pandemic. UPSC released a notice on its official website, announcing the same.

Before this, interview for the post of Scientist B was scheduled on March 30-31, 2020. The interview for the post of Assistant Professor (Applied Art), was scheduled on April 1, 2020. Interview for the post of Assistant Director (CPDO) and Administrative officer was scheduled on April 3, 2020. The interview for the post of Assistant Executive Engineer (Civil) was scheduled on March 23-24, 2020. Interview for the post of Deputy Director (Safety) Civil was scheduled on March 25, 2020. The interview for the post of Assistant Professor (Painting) was scheduled on March 26-27, 2020. Interview for the post of Scientist B (Chemical) was scheduled on March 24-27, 2020. The interview for the post of Instrumentation of Engineer was scheduled on March 30, 2020.

So far, coronavirus has spread in more than 20 states of the country. Almost all the states have shut down their schools, colleges, universities and many other places of utmost importance. People have been advised not to come out unnecessary and avoid the crowd. Before this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged the people to be indoor on March 22, 2020 to fight the battle against coronavirus.
