KVPY Registrations have been extended till October 30, 2020. Read the article to know the steps for registration.

The Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) 2020 registrations have been extended for the second time. Candidates will now be able to apply for the same until October 30, 2020. Earlier, the last date to register was October 19, while the original date for filling up KVPY applications 2020 was October 5, 2020. All the interested students can visit the official website of the KVPY and apply for the scholarship examination. Students must ensure that they go through the eligibility criteria before applying for KVPY.

 The KVPY applications were released on September 6. The KVPY exam is scheduled to take place on January 31, 2021. This year, owing to circumstances due to COVID-19, no interviews will be conducted and the scholarship grant will solely on the basis of the Aptitude Test.

The KVPY Admit Cards will be released in the second week of January 2021.

Steps to fill up KVPY application form 2020-21

  • Visit the official website— kvpy.iisc.ernet.in
  • Click on 'Register' and enter all the details such as class, name, e-mail id, contact number, etc
  • Log in with the credentials sent and fill the details as asked 
  • Upload the images and documents in the application form
  • Pay the application fee (General: Rs 1250, SC/ST: Rs 625)
  • 'Submit' your application form
  • Take a print out of the same and secure it for future references

Documents Required for KVPY 2020 Registration

Candidates must ensure that they have a soft-copy of the below-mentioned documents before filling in the KVPY application form 2020:

  • Valid Email ID and Mobile Number
  • Scanned copies of photograph and signature
  • Academic documents
  • Credit card/ Debit card/ Net banking details
  • Scanned copy of caste certificates and medical certificate (for PWD) in pdf format
