The college gives all the important facilities to the students and provides many UG, PG, and PhD courses. No, Behala College is not considered a Tier 1 college. The college is affiliated with the University of Calcutta and accredited by NAAC A+ grade. The institute has also become the first state-run institute in West Bengal to receive autonomous status from the UGC in 2025. Behala College's establishment under the Refugee Rehabilitation Scheme and its focus on providing higher education in various disciplines align with its role as a state-sponsored institution rather than a premier research-focused entity.
