The Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) is conducted for admission to the B.Arch (Bachelor of Architecture) programme offered by the IITs (Indian Institutes of Technology), specifically IIT Kharagpur, IIT Roorkee, and IIT (BHU) Varanasi, for those who have qualified for JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) Advanced. 

The JEE Advanced AAT is required for admission to BArch programs at IIT Varanasi, IIT Roorkee, and IIT Kharagpur. To gain admission to architecture at any of these IITs, candidates must first qualify for JEE Main, followed by JEE Advanced, and then pass the AAT.

The Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) is held annually for candidates seeking admission to the BArch program at IIT Kharagpur, IIT Varanasi, and IIT Roorkee. A key eligibility requirement for taking the AAT is qualifying the JEE Advanced exam. It’s important to note that admission to undergraduate architecture courses is determined by the candidate's rank in JEE Advanced, not by their AAT score or rank but qualifying AAT is mandatory.

• Along with securing a valid rank in JEE Advanced, the candidates should also meet the basic academic eligibility criteria of the examination. 

Ashoka University does not release question papers for the test. However, they do provide sample papers, links to which are provided on this page above.

JoSAA authorities will consider various examination and admission-related factors while preparing AAT cutoff. Some important factors that will be checked to prepare cutoff of AAT are previous years' cutoff trends, total number of applicants for the exam, overall difficulty level of the exam, number of candidates who qualify the exam, total number of seats available for admission in each institute, etc.

Yes. The AAT cutoff will be differ as per the category and college selected by the candidates. Various factors will be considered to determine the AAT cutoff of the corresponding college and category. The cutoff of General category is expected to be higher than the reserved category. Similarly, the cutoff of the colleges will depend on the number of applicants for admission.
