The main aim of AAT is to check candidate's aptitude in perception, aesthetic sensitivity and imagination. The AAT syllabus is also created to check candidate's drawing skills, which are essential in Architectural field. The candidates will be check on following fields Geometrical drawing, Freehand drawing, Imagination, Aesthetic Sensitivity, Three-Dimensional Perception and Architectural Awareness.

Yes. AAT exam pattern is very important for the preparation process. The candidates are advised to check the exam pattern carefully beforehand so that they are aware of how the examination will be held. Being familiar with the AAT exam pattern will allow the candidates to plan out their studies and become comfortable with how the examination will be conducted. AAT exam pattern will also give the candidates an insight on the type of questions that they can expect.

No. There is no negative marking in AAT. Therefore, the candidates are advised to attempt all questions to have a higher chance of securing qualifying the entrance examination. The total number of questions that will be present in the AAT paper is 16. In case of any changes in the marking scheme of AAT, the authorities will announce it online.

AAT paper will consist of various types of questions. The authorities will prepare multiple-choice questions as well as drawing-based questions. While there are some sections that require multiple-choice questions, there are some in which the candidates will have to prepare a drawing. In case of multiple-choice questions, the candidates will have to select the correct answer from the provided options.

AAT exam pattern will be released online at jeeadv.ac.in. Candidates will be able to check the details on how the examination will be held through the AAT exam pattern. No other mode will be used to release the information of the exam pattern. AAT will be held as a pen-and-paper-based test. All candidates will have to attempt the 16 questions within the 3 hour exam duration. No extra time will be provided to the candidates to complete the examination.

No. The authorities will not provide the AAT application form correction facility to the candidates. While registering for AAT, the candidates will have to check the provided details carefully and update it, if necessary. Once the exam centres are selected and submitted, the candidates will not be allowed to make any changes. In case of any issues in the application form, the candidates are advised to immediately contact the authorities.

AAT 2026 application form last date is announced online. Candidates have to fill out and submit the AAT application form 2026 before deadline. No applications are accepted after the final date. Since the candidates are given only a day to fill out the application form, they were advised to complete the process as soon as possible. The authorities are not expected to extend the last date to submit the application form of AAT 2026.

No. AAT scores will not be considered for BArch admissions into IITs. The candidates are just required to qualify AAT to be eligible for admissions. During the allotment process, the candidate's qualifying status in AAT and JEE Advanced ranks will be taken into consideration by the authorities. Therefore, the candidates are required to accordingly submit their choice of colleges for BArch admissions during the counselling process.

Through the AAT result, the candidates will be able to check important information relevant for their counselling and admission process. Along with personal details, the result of AAT will consist of the candidate's registration number, category and examination qualifying status. The scores obtained in the entrance examination will not be provided in the AAT result. Only the qualifying status is required for BArch admissions into the participating IITs.

AAT result will be released online at jeeadv.ac.in. No other mode will be used to declare AAT result. To access AAT result, the candidates will have to provide their JEE Advanced registration number, date of birth and mobile number. After logging in, the candidates will be able to check the qualifying status for the counselling and admission process. No scores will be provided in the AAT result.
