Hi. Bachelors of Commerce or B.Com is an undergraduate degree in commerce (or business) and related subjects. Its a 3-year programme with 2 semesters every year (6 semesters in total). The course is designed to provide students with a wide range of managerial skills and understanding about streams like Finance, Accounting, Taxation and Management. In addition to this, students are exposed to general business principles with courses in Business Management, Human Resources (HR), Marketing and Economics. Programmes may also require Business Statistics Elementary Calculus and Information Systems. On the other hand, BAF/B.Com (A&F) I. e. Bachelor of Accounting and Finance/ Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Finance is an undergraduate programme which was introduced by the University of Mumbai in the year 2003-04. It is a 3-year self-financing degree course spread across six semesters I. e. two semesters a year, focusing on the domains of Accounting and Finance. It also provides opportunities to gain a broader insight into the financial aspects of Business and Management. The objective of introducing this course was to enable self-employment and provide skilled professionals in the field of Accounting & Finance to organisations.

1) MBA or Masters in Business Administration is one of the demanded courses for students all across the world. 2) CA or Chartered Accountant is definitely among the best courses after completing M.Com. 3) you can also go for Ph.D.
4) CFA or Chartered Financial Analyst is a 2.5-year course in the field of finance and investment
But if you don't want to do any type of such course so you also can apply for government Jobs after M.Com
Those with M.Com degrees can directly apply to the central government or the state government jobs in middle level positions. All such positions will require the candidate to undergo written tests and an interview round. Jobs in Government sector after M.Com

Doing both at the same time is manageable to some extent but prioritizing both of them is quite difficult. I would suggest that if you are planning to do any professional course like CA CS CMA or any other, it would be best if you pursue your graduation from distance learning. If you take regular college it would get really difficult for you to manage both of them (saying that because of my personal experience)
Also, there are times when some exam dates of CA & B.Com from DU clash with each other, like one of my friends is doing CA with B.Com (regular college) and one of her exams on 25th May got clashed, so she missed B.Com exam (I don't know how and when will she be able to give that again) but she gave preference to CA that means she's clear with her priorities, so it's very much important before doing any course to know your priorities and work accordingly. Coming to the syllabus, honestly, you won't find much difficulty in doing and completing the B.Com syllabus while pursuing CA since most of it gets covered in CA. To conclude I would say go for it, cover both the courses, know your priorities and choose wisely from where will you do B.Com. All the best!
