Generally, the cut-off for admission to the B.Com (Hons) is higher than that for the admission to B.Com (Pass) in the majority of commerce colleges/prestigious universities. The eligibility and admission criteria of B.Com. (H) in Kolkata is given below. Qualification required : A candidate may be admitted to the B.Com. (Honours) course provided he/she has passed the Higher Secondary Examination (plus two course) conducted by West Bengal Council for Higher Secondary Education or an equivalent examination recognised as such by University of Calcutta, subject to the fulfillment of the following conditions:
a. Mathematics/Business Mathematics/Statistics/*Business Economics including Business Mathematics is compulsory in Plus-II level.
