From December 2018, NTA became the exam conducting authority. NTA done some of the changes in the exam pattern and revised the syllabus also. As per your qualification you are eligible to appear in the UGC NET exam. The minimum qualification criteria to appear in the UGC NET exam is a candidate must qualify or qualifying their Master's degree. The validity of the UGC NET certificate is for 3 years. So, if you clear you're Masters within this period then you can enroll yourself in the Research programme from National Universities. For Assistant Professor, first you have to complete your M.Com than only you will be become eligible for the post of an Assistant Professor. The minimum age required is 30 years (general category), 33 years LLM graduates), 35 years (SC/ST/OBC/Transgender/Female candidates). There is no age limit for the post of an Assistant Professor. The minimum educational qualification requirement is that a candidate have completed their Post-Graduation with the minimum 55% (General category) or 50% (SC/ST/OBC/Transgender).
