Commerce stream students can do BCA provided they have mathematics in class 12th. Very limited universities such as IGNOU allows students to do BCA, even if they do not have mathematics in class 12th.

If you want to become a civil engineer then you are advised to do class 12th with PCM and appear for engineering entrance examination. If you want to become a CA, you may do class 12th with commerce as a main subject.

Both the options are good. Being a commerce graduate, you can continue preparation for different competitive exams like Banking or SSC/private jobs in different financial companies. While being a B.Com + MBA, you can also get a jobs in government / private sectors.

It will not be a problem, if you are able to justify your gap years with confidence and reasoning. If you have done job and have relevant experience, it will increase your success chances in placement process.

Hi Abhishek,
You must decide this yourself. Canada being a finance center of the world, a B.Com and CPA will be more beneficial provided you have the interest and passion for finance, accounts, etc. If you are interested for a finance career then this is the course you should opt.
Students in the accounting and financial management (AFM), Biotechnology/CPA, and mathematics/CPA programs can combine their undergraduate studies with the Master of accounting (MAcc) graduate program to move directly to the CPA common final examination (CFE) after graduation.
