As you are pursuing FY B.Com , so you can start preparation of CA course now itself , no need to wait completion of B.Com .
It will take 4 to 5 years for become a CA .
you can join classes for CA entrance test (CPT) .
Subjects are same as B.Com , but little advanced .
you can find all in formation about CA course on related website(ICAI).

If you really want to choose the commerce as your dream career, you should prepare just after the completion of your 10th standard education.
after 12th commerce you can go for following Academic options :
Bachelor of Commerce (Page on b.com)
Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS)
Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS)
Bachelor in Business Management/Administration (BBM/A)
Master of Commerce (Page on m.com)
Master in Business Administration (MBA)

Other than this, check with some of the good universities, most of them provide a wide range of courses to choose from according to ones interest. Choose the one that you are interested in and continue with your studies.

One of the following:
1) Undergraduate education: A bachelor's (or equivalent) degree or be in the final year of your bachelor's degree program (when you register for the Level II exam, you will be required to update your education information), or
2) Work experience: Four years of professional work experience (does not have to be investment related), or
3) A combination of professional work experience and education that totals at least four years (part-time positions do not qualify, and the four-year total must be accrued prior to enrollment).
