Yes, you can apply for MSc Economics after completing BCom. In BCom you would have students Economics at college level. This way you will have more or less the same aptitude in the subject as that of a BA Economics or BSc Economics graduate. You may have to study the topics covered in these courses to clear entrance exams for admission. You should make sure that you have atleast 50% marks in graduation, though for shortlisting purpose colleges may set higher cut offs.

The admissions to the B.Tech program at N.D. College are given on the basis of the ranks of the candidates in the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE). In the general category, students who get admission are normally in rank 5,000-8,000 rank in WBJEE exam and have secured 85-90% marks in 10+2 board examination. The cutoff ranks are comparatively low for the reserved categories. The candidates of the SC/ST/OBC categories with WBJEE rank of 12000-18000 and with percentage of 70-80% in the board exam of 10+2 get admission in B.Com. program under these categories.

Last year cutoff for B.Com (Hons) in Hansraj College was 792 marks in CUET. So looking at previous cutoff it seems difficult in general category. Still you should apply or you can select any other good north campus of DU.
