LPU offers BSc (Hons.) Statistics in tie-up with IBM to bridge the gap from campus to corporate world and to upskill the minds according to the needs of industry and academia, . Programme provides the knowledge of traditional theoretical methods in support with modern statistical tools. LPU has joined hands with the tech giant IBM to integrate the emerging technologies with the experiential learning at undergraduate level which includes the access to enterprise software, delivery by IBM designated experts, real time industry case study and research methodologies. In addition to applied and theoretical aspects of statistics, the curriculum lays a strong foundation in other domains, such as mathematics, computers and data analytics. A broad base of training in the important areas of statistics, data analytics and mathematics will allow the student to successfully progress into professional employment, academics and research.

The eligibility for the course is Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with English and Maths) or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNESTor CUET.

For a candidate, who has not studied English as a subject, the condition of English may be waived off provided the candidate in his qualifying exam has studied in English medium.

There is 5% relaxation to North-East states and Sikkim candidates or Defence Personnel and their Dependents or Wards of Kashmiri Migrants.

No, you need not to apply and pursue the CMA Foundation course. Completing a graduate degree course marks the candidates eligibility for direct entry to CMA Intermediate. The space below mentions the cases where a candidate is marked eligible for the direct admission to CMA Intermediate course:

• Passed a degree exam of any recognised University or equivalent
• Passed a degree (honours) exam of anyrecognised University;
• Pursuing Engineering course (having completed Semester IV/equivalent) or are qualified engineers;
• Passed a Master degree exam from a recognised University or any of the IIMs;
• Passed an Engineering degree exam from any recognised University or any of the IITs or IISc;
• Passed the Final exam of the any of the following
  • Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or England and Wales, or Scotland 
    or Ireland
  • Final exam of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, London,
  • Final exam of the ICSI;
  • Final exam of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, U.K.
• Passed the Foundation course exam of this ICMAI;
• Completed the entry Level-Part I exam of Certificate in Accounting Technicians (CAT) course of ICMAI;
• Completed the entry Level-Part I exam and Competency Level Part II exam of Certificate in Accounting Technicians (CAT) course of ICMAI can seek admission to Intermediate course of ICMAI;

Besides the above mentioned eligibility conditions, there are some other criteria to obtain direct admission to the ICMAI course.

To be eligible for BCom Prog. from DU, candidates must have completed their Class 12 with the following subject conditions:

• Combination 1: Any one language from List A along with one among Mathematics/ Applied Mathematics + Any two subjects out of which at least one should be from List B1 OR
• Combination 2: Any one language from List A along with one among Accountancy/ Book Keeping + Any two subjects out of which at least one should be from List B1

Additonally, students are also required to appear for CUET and have a valid score in the same exam for admission. As per the above eligibility, those who don't have Maths but have one among Applied Mathematics,Accountancy or Book Keeping are also eligible.
