It will be difficult to get admission in B.Tech in aerospace with 48% marks. You may try in private engineering college where eligibility criteria and admission process is not stringent.

You can do B.Tech in aeronautical or B.Tech aerospace engineering if you are interested in aeronautical engineering. You can also join the aeronautical society of India and do their degree course. You can also join aircraft maintenance engineering course.

Mechanical engineering is the core branch of engineering with wide scope and lots of job opportunities. Aerospace engineering is a niche branch with comparatively lesser job opportunities in comparison to ME. But AE is a technology intensive branch with rapid changes. If you want to be pure technologist then AE in a better career option in comparison to ME else you may opt for ME.

You won't find any in SPP colleges. You will find certificate programs like mechanical engineering technology. Bachelor's degree are also offered but not in aerospace engineering. You will find the same only in the universities - Carleton University, Ryerson University and University of Manitoba to name a few.
