Agricultural science is a broad-based course that deals with the production of food and rearing of farm animals, agricultural extension, rural economy and rural development, etc.

LPU is the only private university that has ICAR approval. LPU students got top packages from leading Agriculture companies. Students of School of Agriculture are placed in Dhanuka, HDFC Bank, Reliance retail, Syngenta, Bio SEED Nestle, Smur Agro, VLCC, Virbac, Amazon, Sanra organics and many more. The package really depends on what he can show to the recruiters that, how much he is worth or deserved. There were some students who cracked the placement and got offered 1 crore LPA, while many failed to do so. The most prominent difference between these two is that BSc Agriculture is a degree program in the vast subject while BTech Agricultural Engineering is a specialised degree program in an interdisciplinary specialisation of Agriculture and Engineering.
