The most prominent difference between these two is that BSc Agriculture is a degree program in the vast subject while BTech Agricultural Engineering is a specialised degree program in an interdisciplinary specialisation of Agriculture and Engineering.

Students are exposed to Commercial farms (100 acres) to know-how that create an opportunity for students to engage and tone up their endurance, confidence and management skills. They were also engaged in complete cultivation practice of seasonal crops for 6 months, wherein land preparation till harvesting and marketing of the final products will be done by student to expose farming experience. Profit earned by selling solely shared by students of a group.
Highest numbers of PhDs as faculties are enrolled in School of Agriculture faculties throughout the LPU university. These experienced faculties mostly engaged in consultancy, research and publication to add immense value to the academic life. Hons Agriculture includes 60% in 10+2/Intermediate with English Physics Chemistry and Maths/ Biology/ Forestry + LPU NEST or 60% in 10+2/Intermediate 10+2 (Agriculture) + LPU NEST or 60% in 2 year Diploma (Agriculture) after 10th + LPU NEST. 5% to North East states and Sikkim candidates / Defence Personnel and their Dependents/Wards of Kashmir Migrants.
