It provides for multiple industrial exposures, live projects, an updated curriculum rigor and technology along with very good placements and personality development. Being a student of LPU, I think I can provide you with an honest opinion. Though I'm not pursuing my B.Sc. In agriculture, I do have my friends who are pursuing the same. I would say Lovely professional University School of Agriculture is among Punjab and India's Best Agriculture colleges. It lays thrust on carrying out research in agricultural and allied fields. The university has well-equipped Laboratories, Library, lecture rooms, and excellent farm facility to conduct agricultural experiments. LPU is First private University in India which is apprived by ICAR. The eligibillity for B.Sc. Agriculture is Pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 or Intermediate (with English, Physics, Chemistry and Maths or Biology or Forestry) or 10+2 or Intermediate (Agriculture) or 2 years Diploma in Agriculture after 10th or equivalent. Students learn about the latest advancements in the field of agriculture, disease resistance, fertilizers and, insecticides with extensive fieldwork and field trips preparing them for the evergreen field of agriculture. LPU lays thrust on carrying out research in agricultural and allied fields. The university has well-equipped laboratories, library, lecture rooms, and excellent farm facility to conduct agricultural experiments. Emphasis on case studies and inter-personal based teaching to develop skills in analytical thinking and reflective judgment by reading and discussing complex, real-life scenarios. B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture students done research on Project On Floating Island-The project involves the introduction of floating islands for water management and improving sanitation and regulation of water quality & restoration of the water table with the help of biological agents. Students hitherto organic yields of Spinach, Cauliflowers, Cabbage, Turnip, Radish, Carrots have been well accepted by local consumers at University, who have liked these for quality, taste, appearance and appeal. They have also produced organic wheat.
