Syllabus is, NCERT class 11th and class 12th for Chemistry, Physics and Biology as well. But, it will be better if you also study outside NCERT. You can study medical modules of some coaching institutes or some medical reference. Also, make sure to practice previous year question papers, which will be available on bhu website.

Chemistry and mental agility are compulsory. Rest, you have a choice between Maths and Physics /Biology /Agriculture. That means, yes you can attempt agriculture with chemistry and mental agility.

Scope after M.Sc. in agriculture:
Lots of government as well as private job opportunities are present in front of graduates. Talking about government jobs, state agriculture departments recruits graduates to fill up officer level posts. Government colleges also hire M.Sc folks to work as lecturers. Government banks also hire them to fill up officer level posts (that primarily deals with agriculture related loans). Also check high salary jobs in India. Talking about private sector jobs, graduates may find jobs as managers at plantations, as officers at fertilizer manufacturing firms, agriculture machinery industries, agricultural product
