The CIPET Ahmedabad faculty is much respected for their proficiency in polymer science, with the majority being either M.Tech or PhD holders with some industrial experience in plastic engineering. They focus on the course content through practical labs, industry projects, and seminars, which match with current industry demands.
Students have rated faculty 4 out of 5 because of their technical knowledge and availability, partly due to the 1:20 student-faculty ratio, which allows personal attention. The teaching style involved a lot of practical work, although many theoretical classes were rather boring. Faculty development and CIPET's re

CIPET Ahmedabad does not have a management quota for direct admissions to B.E./B.Tech courses; all admissions are by entrance tests only, such as JEE Main, GUJCET, or CIPET-JEE. Candidates are also required to have a minimum of 45% marks in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics for general and require 40% for reserved categories.
For Plastics Engineering, which has 60 seats, 50% of the total seats are filled by ACPC, that is by GUJCET/JEE Main, and remaining 50% by CIPET-JEE.
