Gujarat Technological University Ahmedabad offers only one specialisations in BSc course, i.e., BSc in Biotechnology. Moreover, the university-affiliated colleges offer several specialisations in BSc courses, such as Microbiology, CS & IT, agriculture, etc. These specialisations are offered in the different fields. After filling out the application form for the BSc course at Gujarat Technological University, candidates are required to verify their documents at the university or its affiliated college. The names of the important documents are as follows:
- Mark sheet Class 10
- Mark sheet Class 12/ Diploma Certificate
- Caste Certificate (if applicable)

The eligibility criteria to get enrolled in the BSc course at GTU Ahmedabad are that candidates must qualify for Class 12 with Science stream and must have Biology as a compulsory subject. with a minimum of 45% aggregate in the case of the General Category (40% aggregate in the case of the reserved category). Moreover, the admission process is based on merit.
