The AIMA UGAT exam 2026 will be conducted in the computer-based test mode. The exam will be conducted in as many as 18 test cities across the country. The UGAT exam will be conducted in the following test cities:
- Guwahati
- Chandigarh
- Raipur
- Delhi NCR

- Ahmedabad
- Jammu
- Srinagar
- Ranchi
- Bengaluru

Eatable and drinks are not allowed inside the UGAT exam centre. But, candidates must carry their personal transparent water bottle to the exam centre and follow the COVID-19 appropriate behaviour at all times. Electronic gadgets including watches, mobile phones, calculators, smart devices, etc. are prohibited inside the UGAT exam centre. Candidates should carry recent passport size photograph, photo ID (original and photocopy) and UGAT admit card along with them to the exam centre.

Yes, the UGAT admit card will mention all the details of the exam centre which has been allotted. Candidates must note that they will not be allowed to change the exam centre. They must reach the UGAT exam centre at least an hour before the exam starts to complete the frisking formalities. An elaborate verification process is conducted before the exam begin, hence, the students must not reach late at any cost.

UGAT admit cards will be available online which the candidates can download. Candidates can use their login credentials I. e. username and date of birth for the UGAT admit card download. Students must carry a coloured print out of the UGAT admit card with a recent coloured passport size photography affixed to it to the exam centre in order to gain entry at the UGAT exam centre.

The UGAT exam is held for two hours or 120 minutes. There is only one slot for the UGAT exam. The candidates need to solve the question paper in 120 minutes and this means that the candidates will have less than a minute to solve each question. Candidates must take care of marking their answers at every step as the moment 120 minutes will get over, the candidates will be asked to stop writing. The UGAT exam is conducted in the morning shift, i.e. from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Also, there is no provision for changing the exam slot. Candidates will know their allotted UGAT exam centre only from the AIMA UGAT admit card. There is no way to know the test centre before the release of the UGAT admit card. The examination authority allots a test centre to aspirants in the city of their first preference as mentioned in the application form. So, candidates can atleast be assured that they will get a test centre in the city they had chosen as first preference in the UGAT application form. Candidates who are appearing for the UGAT exam must report at the exam centre at least an hour before the commencement of the exam. The UGAT exam will be conducted from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Candidates must reach the exam centre the latest by 8:00 AM. Candidates must also note, that they will not be allowed to leave the exam centre before the exam gets over.
