Hello Archana Reddy,
Aircraft maintenance engineer is a 3 years course leading to a degree of B.Sc. After the completion of the course, students are enabled to obtain license from DGCA. After the license is obtained the student can seek the job in any of the civil Airlines operating aircraft which carry passengers or cargo. Presently in India, both the passenger as well as the cargo Air Traffic is increasing at an annual rate of about 15%. Hence, the students who pass out get absorbed in many of the airlines since all of them are buying more and more aircraft which require more and more trained and licensed personnel. The admission for

Hi, Aircraft maintenance engineering is not a degree or Diploma programme, but it is a training programme. After the successful completion of the training, a license is issued by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). During the training session, students will be taught about the service and maintenance of aircraft so as to ensure flight safety. Please refer to the link below:

Hello Renish Sonani,
Aircraft maintenance engineering course is definitely not an engineering course even though the word engineering appears in the title. However one cannot call it a technician's course also. This is because a student gets a degree or B.Sc. After 3 years of studies in this course. After the completion of the course the students get the license from DGCA to work as aircraft maintenance engineers on the aircraft which are used by civil Airlines for carrying passengers and / or cargo. Best wishes to you.

Hello Renish Sonani, Aah! Aircraft maintenance engineering. This is the stream wish presently ensures almost hundred percent placement after passing out. This is one industry in India which is growing almost at the rate of 15% per annum. Civil air passenger traffic as well as cargo traffic both are showing uptrend. This in turn has resulted in civil airlines purchasing a large number of aircraft and this in turn has fuelled the requirement of aircraft maintenance engineers. Hence I feel that in the foreseeable future the professionals in this field will have a great time and those were passing put will get almost assured placement. Bes

Hello Umang Panchal, I am very surprised when you say that some people have told you negatively about this course. Of course aircraft maintenance engineering is not a normal run of the mill B.Sc. Course that majority of students do. This is a skill imparting course. After a student completes this course the institution invariably will enable him or her to get DGCA licence for working on aircraft. You will be working as a maintenance personal on aircraft operated by civil Airlines, whether for passenger traffic or for cargo. In India both these traffics are increasing by almost 15% per year resulting in almost all the airlines acquiring

Hello Fuzail Shaikh, The students who pass out as aircraft maintenance engineers invariably also acquire DGCA certification for working as maintenance personal on civilian aircraft. Indian market for passenger Air Traffic as well as cargo Air Traffic is increasing at an average growth rate of 15%. This market is expected to grow at this rate in near future also. This all has forced many of the Indian civil Airlines to procure large number of aircraft to take advantage and cater for this market. Large number of aircraft means the requirement of large number of maintenance engineers also. Hence I see a great potential as far as the job p

Hi,
After 12th science, aircraft maintenance engineering is best because after completing this course, you will get many job opportunities than that of aeronautical engineering, hence A.M.E. is the best.
