Hello Fuzail Shaikh, The students who pass out as aircraft maintenance engineers invariably also acquire DGCA certification for working as maintenance personal on civilian aircraft. Indian market for passenger Air Traffic as well as cargo Air Traffic is increasing at an average growth rate of 15%. This market is expected to grow at this rate in near future also. Yes, Diploma in mechanical engineering students are eligible for AME(HA/CT/LA/PE) course. Aircraft Maintenance Engineering mechanical stream is related with heavy aircraft (HA), Light Aircraft (LA) and Jet Engine(CT), Piston Engine(CP). This is of 3 years course divided into 6 Semester. AME Course consists of theoretical and practical training. Intake capacity of student is 60 in particular stream in a year.
Eligibility Criteria: Minimum qualification for the AME course is 10+2 with 50% aggregate in physics and mathematics or Diploma certified recognized by AICTE or any certificate acceptable to DGCA as equivalent diploma in mechanic
