Yes, Diploma in mechanical engineering students are eligible for AME(HA/CT/LA/PE) course. Aircraft Maintenance Engineering mechanical stream is related with heavy aircraft (HA), Light Aircraft (LA) and Jet Engine(CT), Piston Engine(CP). This is of 3 years course divided into 6 Semester. AME Course consists of theoretical and practical training. Intake capacity of student is 60 in particular stream in a year.
Eligibility Criteria: Minimum qualification for the AME course is 10+2 with 50% aggregate in physics and mathematics or Diploma certified recognized by AICTE or any certificate acceptable to DGCA as equivalent diploma in mechanical / Electrical / electronics engineering with minimum 50% aggregate or Higher Degree in Science (B.Sc/M.Sc) No physical disability. The admission are based on merits, hence no entrance exam is there.
