The Faculty of Architecture AKTU offers around 40–80 seats for B.Arch (may vary yearly).

AKTU accepts different national and state-level entrance tests for its programmes. Aspirants must submit the scores of the accepted tests to get a seat. Some of the tests accepted by the university are as below:

Students must meet the AKTU eligibility requirements to get admission in the university. The eligibility may vary depending on programme/ specialisation. Common eligibility is as below:

• AKTU UG eligibility - Class 12 with relevant subjects
• AKTU PG eligibility - UG degree in a relevant field
• AKTU PhD eligibility - PG degree in a relevant field

So far, AKTU has not released any last date of admission. The admission cycle generally lasts from March to October. Students can check the AKTU site regularly to know more.

To get admission in AKTU, students must fulfil the admission requirements. The university offers seats through both entrance and merit basis. For engineering, pharmacy, management, etc. programmes, students have to go through UPTAC counselling. Selected students need to report for verification and pay the admission fees to complete the process.

IET AKTU is mainly famous for its various courses under BTech programme. The college has many specializations for Engineering students. All the courses under BTech like Computer Science, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil etc. are popular and focus on practical learning.

APJ AKU has been continuously recognised as one of the leading institutes by numerous national ranking agencies. The institute is ranked #94 in the Engineering category, and #91 under Engineering (Private) by the Times 2025. The ranking has been given to the university basis the placements, student-faculty ratio, scholarships, infrastructure and several other criteria.
