To be eligible for MDS at AIIMS Delhi, candidates must have completed their BDS programme with at least 55% aggregate. Additionally, they must also have 12 months of internship experience on or before July 31 of the year of admission. Final admission to MDS at AIIMS is subject to the INICET exam conducted by AIIMS Delhi. For admission to the 2023 batch of MDS at this institute, AIIMS started the INI CET registration process on March 7. Yes, AIIMS does offer admission to NRI students. However, there is no seat reserved for them. Seats are available across every course offered at AIIMS Delhi and the requirement for admission across all courses is also similar to that of domestic students applying for the course. 

• MBBS: There is no seat reserved for OCI and NRI candidates. Foreign candidates must have atleast 60% aggregate with PCB and English in Class 12 or equivalent. 
• MSc: The eligibility criteria for the foreign candidates will be at par with the eligibility criteria for Indian candidates.
• MD/ MS/ MCh/ DM: A combined merit list of the sponsored/ foreign candidates is made. Seats are allotted purely on merit on the basis of performance in the entrance test

One must clear NEET-UG, the national entrance examination required in order to pursue an MBBS course at AIIMS Patna. AIIMS Patna offers admission to UG-level programs, i.e., MBBS and BDS, based on NEET scores. For pursuing an MBBS course through the college, it is mandatory for a candidate to qualify the NEET-UG entrance examination, followed by NEET counseling. In order to check if a candidate is eligible to get a seat in the college. Some of the details for the question above are as follows:

1- Last year's data: According to the last year's estimates of the NEET counseling, we can summarize that the AIIMS Patna NEET 2022 cutoff closing ranks of round 1 were 2737 for the general category, 2362 for the OBC category, and 35999 for the SC category. Although one can see this data and identify the toughness and competition of this exam, one must not rely on this data in order to see whether he or she is eligible for a seat at AIIMS Patna. The data varies every year for each category. These data provide the cumulative rank of the last year's examination, but one must get a better rank than the written data in order to be on the safe side.

2- There are more chances of getting selected in college as more rounds pass by. There are four rounds of NEET counseling: Round 1, Round 2, the mop-up round, and the stray vacant round. Based on the number of vacant seats, the number of rounds may be extended. Out of the four rounds, three will be conducted online by MCC, i.e., Round 1, Round 2, and the mop-up round.

3- Declining Trend: One must also look at the past year's data in order to know the trend of candidates taking admission to college. According to the AIIMS Patna cutoff of 2023 for Round 2, the closing rank for MBBS is 1628. Analysis of cutoffs for previous years for MBBS reveals that AIIMS Patna has seen a declining trend compared to 2022. When compared from 2021 to 2022, it shows an improving trend. The cutoff for MBBS in Round 2 was 2254 in 2021 and 1537 in 2022, respectively. Thus, it might get easier in the future to get admission to the college in the upcoming years.
