Considered as a dream college for every medical student, AIIMS Delhi has one of the biggest and most beautiful campuses in India. Spread over an area of 213.12 acres, AIIMS Delhi is located in Ansari Nagar, Delhi (adjacent to the South Extension-II market). The institute offer residential facility, however, students get this facility on a first-come first-serve basis. With well-maintained college buildings, laboratories, computer laboratories, library and more, AIIMS New Delhi set up an Innovation Facilitation Division in 2017 for accommodating AIIMS faculty and scientists as incubates.

An average AIIMS professor and HOD salary in India is INR 37.1 Lacs with an experience between 14 years to 25 years. Professor and HOD salary at AIIMS Delhi ranges between INR 4 lakh and INR 48 lakh. To be eligible for MDS at AIIMS Delhi, candidates must have completed their BDS programme with at least 55% aggregate. Additionally, they must also have 12 months of internship experience on or before July 31 of the year of admission. Final admission to MDS at AIIMS is subject to the INICET exam conducted by AIIMS Delhi. For admission to MDS at AIIMS Delhi there is no age limit that a student needs to meet to be eligible for exam. Only minimum requirement for admission to MDS is below -

  • MBBS/ BDS  degree
  • Complete 12 months of internship on or before July 31 of year of admission

AIIMS New Delhi offers MBBS, BSc, BSc (Hons), PB BSc Nursing along with a BOptometry course at the undergraduate level. For admission to all these courses, the minimum eligibility criteria is the completion of Class 12 with a bare minimum percentage. Yes, AIIMS does offer admission to NRI students. However, there is no seat reserved for them. Seats are available across every course offered at AIIMS Delhi and the requirement for admission across all courses is also similar to that of domestic students applying for the course. 

  • MBBS: There is no seat reserved for OCI and NRI candidates. Foreign candidates must have atleast 60% aggregate with PCB and English in Class 12 or equivalent. 
  • MSc: The eligibility criteria for the foreign candidates will be at par with the eligibility criteria for Indian candidates.

Yes, AIIMS does have an internal PG quota for aiimsonians. AIIMS has internal PG quota all the other AIIMS except Delhi have their value. The student who clears AIIMS UG joins other AIIMS just because of this PG quota. Candidates must have finished their MBBS with the required marks from a university that has been approved by the National Medical Commission or the Medical Council of India, as announced by the Indian government.
