Applications for admission to PhD programme are screened by the Committee on Postgraduate Programmes (CPGP); shortlisted candidates are then called for an entrance test conducted by the University, followed by a PI round. UGC-NET/ CSIR-NET qualified candidates are exempted from the entrance test and called directly for PI round.

Amrita School of Business Amritapuri offers two management programmes, namely Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in various specialisations. To be eligible for the courses candidates need to meet the eligibility criteria set up by the institute, the common eligibility criteria is class 12 and graduation with 50% and selection will be basewd on entrance exams like CAT/MAT/XAT/KMAT/ACAT.

Amrita Coimbatore will accept scores of CAT/ XAT/ MAT/ CMAT/ GMAT/ GRE and KMAT exams
Candidates are short-listed for Personal Interview (PI), based on their academic and test score and are informed about the PI date by email and SMS. (Candidate who are not shortlisted will not get any communication)
During the PI candidates will be evaluated on their written and verbal communication skills, subject and general knowledge and overall personality.
