Yes they definitely have scope. Animators who aren't inclined toward producing creative art can gain employment in advertising, online & print media, cartoon production, video gaming, E-learning, print news media, and theatre. Both private and public sector employs animators and artists with a degree in animation.

Both are quite same but the main difference is
That 3d animation is all about creating 3d models, dynamic images and rendering. Multimedia contains different things for instance video, image, audio editing etc. And animation is a type of media. On the other hand digital filmmaking is more about shooting and editing a project. If you are quite good at sketching, anatomy or may be architecture you should definitely go with 3d animation and multimedia.

In my experience, B.Sc animation and VFX are better than multimedia because it gives you updated time. It requires less efforts to study.

If your talking about a transfer from one college to another, YES it's highly possible all depends on the agreement reached with 3 parties involved the first being your current college, the second the college that you want to move into and the third party involves you. Hope this helps.
