As you are a beginner I would suggest you to go for 2D. Start by learning Basic software like Adobe Photoshop & Flash. Photoshop isn't an animation software though, but it does come in use while making textures in 3D software.

You can go for a short-time course in animation. Thereafter you can join any TV channel, a VFX company, a media house like Rediff, Times Internet, etc. or an advertising agency.

Yes, I know a VFX course in Canada Vancour, named as VFS. It offers graduation course for one year and it costs around 25 Lacs INR.

Eligibility for a course in animation is mentioned below:
For admission to the programme the candidate must have passed Class 10 with minimum aggregate 50% including all subjects from a recognised school. The candidate must be pass in Class 12/QE with minimum aggregate of 50% in any stream from a recognised school. Candidates awaiting results of HSC examination can apply too. Yes, you are eligible, but what do you want to learn in animation because there are many things in animation. So I would suggest you to analyse about animation and after that you can go for the particular course which will save your time and money.

Yes, it is allowed. I will recommend you to take online course in animation where after the completion of the course you will receive a certificate and you can carry on with your engineering at the same time.

There is no required score as such for any definite government college offering B.Sc in visual communication. However, the basic eligibility for opting for B.Sc in visual communication is as follows:
1.10+2 education completed in the science stream from a recognised educational board.
2. Physics, chemistry, maths and English are the main subjects of study at the 10+2 level.
3. Preferably, Electronics Media as one of the main subjects at the 10+2 level.
