It is difficult to say for sure which animation institute utilises the latest tools and technology while teaching students without being in the industry ourselves. The industry updates itself constantly. We in India mostly use a decade old software and techniques. However, I would suggest you research about institutes by going there and talking to the faculty and students reading reviews on the internet.
Currently, institutes like Arena, MAAC and colleges like NID are famous for animation courses. But I would repeat my advice that you go to their campuses and judge by yourself. Look into what version of software they use, what devices they use. Look up portfolios of its previous batches. Animation Institutes in India are not very stable as teachers drop midway through the course and go for a better job.

Course Objective: The course training aims to equip its students with all aspects of film-making & video programme production using digital video equipment. Most of the aspirants willing to be independent filmmakers may join the course. Directors need to be able to mediate differences in creative visions and stay within the boundaries of the film's budget. There are many pathways to becoming a film director.
4) Understanding Communication, Media Laws & Ethics - Communications law is the practice of law that relates to the exchange of information using technology. It's any law that involves the regulation and use of electronic telecommunication. . Most communications law and regulation in the United States involves the federal agency the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
5) Audio-Video Editing - Video editing is the process of manipulating and rearranging video shots to create a new work. Editing is usually considered to be one part of the post-production process other post-production tasks include titling, colour correction, sound mixing, etc.
6) Videography and Camera Handling - Videography refers to the process of capturing moving images on electronic media and even streaming media. The term includes methods of video production and post-production. It was initially equivalent of cinematography.

Maya Entertainment- It is stationed in Mumbai. They have a big client list which includes BBC, Sony, Google and Rainbow. Their blockbuster work in the movies includes The Mummy and Stuart Little. They have also worked along with the United Nations on a short film with a character called Wabo.
UTV Toonz- This is another division of the popular UTV Software Communications Ltd. and is based in Mumbai. They have successfully bagged clients from all over the world including North America, Asia and Europe. Some of their achievements include the Club Now which is a musical cartoon series and The Doonz which is a fantasy series for the Dutch clients. Others include the Clootie & Dumpling is another Canadian series and Snow Queen for the Luxemburg clients.
Silvertoon Studio- This gained its popularity with the animated series Hanuman which was aired for 135 minutes. This mythological character was a huge success among the kids and had a huge fan following too.
