A Rigging artist is responsible for creating the skeleton of a 3D model, ensuring that all the joints and muscles work correctly and accurately, so the animators can start to position the models creatively. Character riggers are responsible for using computer programs to form skeletons by creating a series of bones that deform and animate specific parts of the character. Character riggers may also help develop tools for animation production processes, collaborate with modelers and animators, and develop new techniques to solve character production challenges.
Character riggers work in animation studios, for game design companies, web design firms, computer software companies, and more. A rigger will have to work closely with the modeler to make sure the models design allows for the type of movement a rigger will seek to implement.

While the average pay scale of 3DS max user varies at different jobs and works, it could be 3,08,569 INR per annum and will increase too.
But you should never compromise with your interest.
If you like game modeling and 3S animation, you should go for 3DS max and if you like website designing and development, you should do so.

The difference between a VFX artist and graphics is, that a visual-effect artist can create special effects and animations. VFX artist can do the mixing up of false and animated images with real film shooting. The main task of a VFX artist is to exaggerate real film shots.
But, a graphic artists can create visual concepts, and not effects using software. They also create layouts, logos and product design for magazines, brochures and commercials. The graphics artist work with both, images and text. They produce all the props that contain graphic items e.g. books, maps, menus, credit card, visiting cards, newspapers etc.
VFX artists are offered better pay packages than graphics artists. The starting salary of a VFX artist is approximately 350,000 INR per annum, but a graphics artist's slary maybe 250,000 INR per annum.

There are majorly 5 types of animation in India as of now. All of them are mentioned below:
Introductory Animation:
This animation course exposes student to the range of traditional and digital techniques used in stop-motion, claymation, 2-D or 3-D computer animation. Students learn basic theory and mechanics behind. Animation develop observational and drawing skills and study the fundamental principles of character design, layout and storyboarding.
2-Dimensional Animation:
Through lectures, demonstrations and hands-on exercises, animation students learn squash and stretch, follow-through, keyframing and overlap techniques while creating their own short animation projects. This is one of the first classes future animators take to learn basic animation skills.
Storyboarding for Animation:
The animation is designed on storyboards. Students learn basic animation theory and mechanics, develop observational and drawing skills and study the fundamental principles of character design, layout and storyboarding in this class. Storyboards are created for each animated character and a rough version of the animation is put together. This practice is called animatic.
3-Dimensional Animation:
Specialized software, such as Studio-Max and Autodesk Maya, are used to create 3-dimensional images for animations. Much of this class is spent becoming familiar with the software and creating short 3-dimensional animations used for film or video games. Students should complete 2-dimensional animation course before taking this course.
Computer Animation:
Creating animations that are synthesized on the computer is the focus of this course. Computer generated lighting and backgrounds are used with original characters developed by students. Computer animation production techniques are used to create a short animation project.
Animation Throughout History:
In this course, students learn how styles and techniques in animation have changed over time. Reviewing animation from the first animated films to present feature-length animations gives a student perspective on this rapidly changing art form. This is an elective course.

You can either do animation or computer science engineering. For game development, Computer science will help you and for design, the animation is good to go.
Game design involves the entire process of making a video game. It involves various stages such as concept, documentation, prototype development, production, design, programming, level creation, art production, audio production, testing, and maintenance. It is not an individual work, but needs a team effort. Game design involves knowing many arts like graphics, industrial design, and architecture. It is part of the entertainment industry and needs concept, gameplay, feature list, setting and story, target audience, requirements and schedule, staff and budget estimates for producing a successful game.
Famous game expert Brian Sutton-Smith has some valuable tips, a game designer is a particular kind of designer, much like a graphic designer, industrial designer, or architect. A game designer is not necessarily a programmer, visual designer, or project manager, although sometimes he or she can also play these roles in the creation of a game. A game designer might work alone or as part of a larger team.

This is a very generic question that holds no difference in the animation field separately. The difference in the 3 courses is as below:
Time invested- Certificate are of maximum 1 year duration, Diploma requires minimum 1 year and maximum 2 year investment.
The degree programs would be at least 3 years and could be up to 5 years (in case of integrated programs)
Syllabus covered- Obviously as the time invested differs, so does the syllabus and detail of subject taught in the program. Certificates and Diplomas are more specified to a certain part of the total program offering limited exposure, however degree covers a larger arena and offers in depth knowledge and exposure.
Value in market- The degree programs are definitely the most valued, as they have maximum exposure in the field, but in some case Diplomas are sufficient to give a start to the career.
In case of animation, these differences hold true and the major difference can also be the number and version of various software taught in the different programs.
