I am a freelance web designer and most of my friends are 3D artists. Web designing and 3DS max are like water and fire I.e very different from each other. For website design and development, one should know graphic designing and software like - Illustrator, InDesign, CorelDRAW, etc. Almost 2D stuff.

You need to be a graduate in any stream from a recognized university with minimum of 50% score. This is a very generic question that holds no difference in the animation field separately. The difference in the 3 courses is as below:
Time invested- Certificate are of maximum 1 year duration, Diploma requires minimum 1 year and maximum 2 year investment.
The degree programs would be at least 3 years and could be up to 5 years (in case of integrated programs)
