For taking admission in IPU, you have to appear for a separate exam which is IPU-CET carried out by GGSIPU.
For eligibility criteria please refer:-

For a general candidate from another state, only spot round may get you to JMI.
Though the scenario may get easy for home state, Muslim, OBC and women students.
Still, you have got good marks, do not lose hope.

Yes, you can get into NIT - Raipur, Nagpur, Surat, Bhopal, Silchar, Jamshedpur, Durgapur, and Kurukshetra with mostly biotech, civil and chemical branches.
Though you can also opt for non-technical branches such as mining and metallurgy.

No, JMI offers diverse options to students from various castes to get admission. Moreover, being general and from a different state, you should score a minimum of 270 marks to choose your desired branch. Best of luck.
