NO, you don't need to be a resident of Maharashtra to obtain a B.Sc. degree from AFMC (Armed Forces Medical College). AFMC selection is based on your performance in the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) and other eligibility criteria set by the institute, and not your residency.
- AFMC B.Sc.: AFMC doesn't offer a traditional B.Sc. program. They offer MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) and B.Sc. (Nursing) programs.
- Admission Criteria: Admission to both programs is based on NEET score followed by an interview and medical examination conducted by AFMC

The Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) in India has specific eligibility criteria for admission.
While your score in biology, physics, and chemistry is great, your English score is not that good.
You English marks doenot fit in the minimum eligibility criteria for AFMC MBBS admission due to the score in English.
Minimium Marks in English should be 50 percent in 12th .
However if you want to enter only if AFMC consider retaking your 12th standard English exam (if applicable) to improve your score.
