The medical cadets at AFMC Pune can choose to be either in the Indian Army, Navy or Air Force after completing their programme from AFMC. Students also have an option of choosing between SSC (short service commission) and PC (permanent commission) and also subject to seat availability.

To be eligible for MBBS at AFMC the students must have passed class 12 or equivalent exam first attempt with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Bio-technology, with minimum of 60% of the aggregate marks in these three Science subjects taken together and not less than 50% marks in English and 50% marks in each of the Science subjects. They must have also passed an examination in Mathematics of the tenth standard.

Filling the application form is the first & important step for taking admission in AFMC Pune. The application fee needs to be paid at the last step of the form. The fee is different for different courses and categories. This application fee is not generally refundable. Once you have paid the application fee you cannot ask for refund even if you don't want to move further with the admission process.

Once the application process is completed, the college checks each form. Students needs to upload the correct documents and fill the correct details for their forms to be accepted. After this the college releases the cutoff list. Students falling in the list can proceed for further process of admissions.
