Arts ( Fine / Visual / Performing ) Eligibility

Candidates seeking admission to Maya Somaiya School of Music and Performing Arts MPA courses must fulfil the eligibility criteria set by the institute. Check below to know the course-specific eligibility requirements:

Vocal, Swar Vadya, Taal Vadya:

• Completed a three-year BPA (Music) or equivalent examination with 45% or more, or
• Passed an undergraduate degree and must have passed Music for not less than five years in a recognised institution, or
• An undergraduate degree in any subject recognised by the UGC and having learnt Music for not less than five years from a well-known teacher/guru

Bharata Natyam & Kathak:

• Completed a BPA degree or equivalent in the chosen stream
• Candidates with a basic degree from another stream, not dance, need to have learnt the Classical Dance form for at least six to seven years from a Guru or recognised institution with proven credentials

Maya Somaiya School of Music and Performing Arts BPA eligibility criteria differ based on the choice of course. Students willing to apply must check the course-specific eligibility criteria before applying. Check below to know more:

• Completed Class 12 with a minimum score of 40% with Music as one of the subjects, or
• Candidates who have not offered Music as one of the subjects must have learnt Music for not less than three years in a recognised institution

Bharata Natyam & Kathak:

• Passed Class 12 with a minimum of 40% with Classical Dance as one of the subjects, or
• Candidates who have not studied Classical Dance as one of the subjects must have learnt Classical Dance for not less than three years in a recognised institution
