students wanting to pursue a course from AU can apply online. The university officials scan applications and shortlist students. students shall ensure that they submit the form before the due date. The application process for Ashoka University admission 2024 is explained below-

1- Visit Ashoka University's official website.

2- Click on Apply icon.

3- Click on New Registration tab.

4- Select course.

5- Register with a valid email ID.

6- Log in with credentials entered during registration.

7- Start filling out fields in the form.

8- Upload asked documents.

9- On form submission a non-refundable fee of INR 1000 has to be paid.

Ashoka University has been awarded a rank band of 291-300 by the QS World Asian University 2023 and NIRF 2022 has given a rank of 88 among the top 100 Universities in India. To apply to the PhD in English applicants need to complete an online application form and provide
- Statement of Purpose (700 words)
- Research essay on student area of interest (3500 words)
- Two academic letters of recommendation
Admissions to the PhD programme are based on the online application followed by an interview of select shortlisted candidates.

Ashoka University's rate of acceptance is very low i.e. 8-10%. Getting selected depends on the way you present yourself, sometimes students with 67% gets admission whereas students with 97% are unable to do so.

DU is much older and has much better ranking, accrediting and brand value. Ashoka University is emerging university offering courses in specific domain.
So these are two different sort of universities and DU is comparatively better.

One-off payments
Entry fee of INR 50,000 at the time of acceptance of the Offer of Admission
A refundable security deposit of INR 75,000 (INR 50,000 security deposit and INR 25,000 food deposit) at the time of acceptance of the Offer of Admission. The deposit will be refunded at the time of graduation from Ashoka University or at the time of cancellation of admission from the programme

Ashoka is a liberal arts university. DU offers courses in all streams. There are certain points to consider. If you are getting Tier1 colleges like LSR, Stephen's or Hindu etc. Then skip Ashoka. If not, then for subjects like History, English Sociology, Psychology or Political Science, Ashoka is a good choice. But if your ultimate goal is to prepare for civil services then DU will be better. Ashoka follows the educational pedagogy of the West. If you want it, you better go for it. If you are tired of rote learning. Or you want a change of air. But also consider the fees. Since Ashoka is too new to be trusted, it is not very wise to pay

Over the course of your three years at the university, you must complete nine foundation courses and three critical thinking seminars, regardless of your major. Below is a list of the different majors and interdisciplinary majors available. In addition, you can minor in any course that is currently available as a major. Interdisciplinary majors have 16 courses, majors have 12 courses, minors have 6, therefore a major plus a minor equals 18 courses. You can also pursue simply a major.
