According to the QS 2025, Aston has ranked better than Essex University. Additionally, the rankings for Aston University have been improving constantly since the year 2023.

For the UK-based universities only, The Guardian University Guide rankings are realized. Some of the few indicators that are used to compute the rankings of these universities are entry standards, student-staff ratio, teaching quality, feedback, career prospects, etc.

Aston University ranks at #21, which is an increase of 4 spots as the university ranked lower in the year 2024 which was rank #25. The rankings given by The Guardian are fluctuating as since the year 2023. The Business and Management programs at this university are ranking at #32 for the year 2025. For most of the programs, these rankings are improving year on year.

US World and News rankings are based on a range of relevant parameters such as Graduation and retention rates, Social mobility, Graduation rate performance, Undergraduate academic reputation, Faculty resources for the current academic year, etc.

The Complete University Guide rankings assess the Universities in the UK on a variety of parameters that can be considered crucial when selecting a university. According to the ranking data published by this ranking body, Aston University ranks at #43 among the best universities in the world which is a decline in the rankings from the previous year 2024, as it was #41.

The Complete University Guide Rankings for this university are fluctuating since 2023, where the rank was 48. The next year it got better by 7 places, however declined by 2 places in 2025.

QS World University Rankings are one of the most comprehensive rankings that have offered World University Rankings since 2004. For the year 2025, the Aston University QS ranking is #423 in the 'World University' category which is an improvement from the last year as the ranking for that year was #446. The rankings for this university are constantly improving since 2023. It is the same case in the 'Europe category' holding the ranking of #161 improving from its last year's rankings which was #167.

The rankings have been provided by THE (Times Higher Education) since the year 2004. The creation of these rankings is done to know and evaluate the university's performance on the global stage and provide a comprehensive ranking report for the students to make an informed higher education decision.

For the year 2025, Aston University is ranked at #351 which is an improvement from the last year ranking of #401. For the year 2023, it stayed the same.
