Lateral admission is available in the B.Tech for Automobile Engineering programme at LPU, but not in the Diploma programme. After graduating from LPU with a Diploma (Lateral) in mechanical engineering, my buddy went on to LPU to pursue a B.Tech in Automobile Engineering via lateral admission. Automobile Engineering is a discipline of engineering concerned with the design, production, and maintenance of automobiles. The Automobile Engineering course covers a wide range of topics, from vehicle design through component manufacture, assembly, and safety testing. The car industry is forecast to sell more than 6 million automobiles by 2020, according to industry projections. Automobile engineers are in high demand in India and throughout the world. Because it is such a large business, there are numerous job openings in both private national and multinational automobile corporations. This course at LPU is developed and presented largely to provide students with hands-on experience in the field of car engineering using mechanical engineering as a foundation. Modern technologies used in the production and operation of all sorts of autos and auto components are introduced to the pupils. The major goal is to equip students with the necessary skills to advance in the automotive industry. LPU offers a variety of live projects and internships with firms that give valuable experience for automotive engineering graduates. The institution hosts a variety of championships and events each year, such as Go Kart racing and Robowar, to give students with a platform for creativity and development.
