BA in Music ( western Contemporary music) at NMIMS school of performing Arts Mumbai eligibility criteria: 

  1. Students have must 10+2 exam passed at least 50% marks at any stream.
  2. Students having good potential and skills can be considered as a special case and allowed for audition round or equivalent examination from a recognised board with minimum 50% marks. 
  3. All eligible candidates who wish to apply for our program, must upload a video of their performance on YouTube and attach the link in the application form. The candidates will then be shortlisted and called in for auditions on specific dates.

As per the year 2024 the rank of NMIMS School of Performing Arts Mumbai in B.A in Music is 21 Refer to the rankings and categories from various ranking bodies.As per the NIRF 2024 rankings, NMIMS Mumbai achieved a rank in the category.NMIMS School of Performing Arts (SoPA), Mumbai that comes under NMIMS Deemed to be University, a Category I and NAAC A+ accredited University, offers 3 years degree course in Western Contemporary and Indian Music - B.A.

A BSc in Hospitality course will give you a scientific approach (for e.g. looking at equipment, statistics, trends, etc.) whereas a BA will give more creative approach (for e.g. creating a memorable experience). However they are both equivalent degrees. Additionally, most degrees in hotel management and catering are BA's.

Patna University conducts BA admissions through the Class 12 exams. To gain admission into the programme candidates are required to have a minimum aggregate of 45% in the Class 12 exams. Only factor necessary for admission are the Class 12 score There are no screening rounds for admission in Patna University BA. Therefore, candidates should focus on giving their best during their Class 12 board exams to secure admission into the programme.

The university hasn't released its data for 2024 placements but according to NIRF report for 2024, 120 UG (3-year) students were placed during Patna University placements in 2023. The median package for UG (3-year) courses stood at INR 3.50 LPA. Therefore, a decent student can have a net positive return on investment at the university given the tuition fees of the BA programme is INR 31,500.

If we compare the three universities based on BA courses offered we will see that, Magadh University offers the most amount of BA courses. Patna University offers only 66 seats in its BA programme but Magadh University provides 360 BA courses. This is due to the fact that Magadh University has more affiliated colleges for the BA programme than Patna University. If we look at TMBU, the university also provides 300 seats for its BA programme.

Yes, Patna University reserves seats for different categories for BA programmes, the reservation categories typically include SC (Scheduled Castes), ST (Scheduled Tribes), OBC (Other Backward Classes), and EWS (Economically Weaker Sections). There is also relaxation for physically handicapped candidates. Candidates can have a look at the university website to get an idea of the correct percentages of seats reserved for these categories.

Patna University provides 1,202 seats in its BA programme. These seats are provided across various specialisations and across affiliated colleges of the university. Bihar National College offers the most amount of seats for the BA programme with 600 seats. The  university also provides a distance learning BA programme which allocates 30 seats for students who want to take admission through distance learning mode.
