No, CUET UG exam is not mandatory for admission to BA Philosophy courses in government and private colleges of India.
Most of the admissions to undergarduate course in Philopsophy in colleges of India is based on Class 12 merit, but some of the popular colleges in India ask for entrance exam scores for admission.
Most common entrance exams for BA Philosophy admission are CUET UG, SAT India, PUBDET, etc. Students must check the college admission policy before applying.

With the application form for the BA course at St. Paul's College, one duplicate of each of the following documents has to be produced. During the admission interview, all originals, along with one set of photocopies of the same, have to be brought:
- Transfer Certificate from School last attended
- Class 10, and Certificate
- CLASS 12 or Certificate
- Conduct Certificate
- Migration Certificate in the case of students who have passed any exam other than the Karnataka PU Exam.
- SC/ ST/ Backward Class Minority Certificate from Tahasildar.

As per the Kurukshetra University admission guidelines, candidates are required to secure at least 40% aggregate in their Class 12 exam to join the BA programme. Therefore, candidates might not get admission without 40% aggregate in Class 12 exam.
Admission to the BA course is subject to a valid score in the last qualifying exam. Candidates must have a Class 12 examination with English as mai subject. Further, eligible candidates must make sure to complete the step-wise admission procedure to get admitted to the BA course.

The eligibility requirements for admission to both offered BA specialisation at BA in Journalism & Political Science are almost the same. Which includes candidates first completing their Class 12 from a recognised board of education in any stream. Further, the selection process is based on merit evaluated on Class 12 scores, followed by counseling/ an interview.
